Vienna Boy Choir in Concert Delights Local Audience
The Boy Choir of Vienna returned to town performing at the Music Center Pavilion as part of Murek's International Series. Anton Neyder led a program mixing sacred pieces by Croce Ingegneri and Haydn with Handel and Mendelssohn, Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, and The Golden Vanity vaudeville. The ensemble, after clever staging by UWka Peter, displayed precise bowing despite occasional high notes and uneven phrasing.
