Presidents and chairmen of four Fleet Reserve Units hosted a Sunday Valentine party at Long Beach Veterans Hospital for veterans and guests. Notable officers included Mrs. Dorothy Cakras and Mrs. Margue rite Askew of Unit 43, Mrs. Eden Tardy and Mrs. Dorothy Wombles of Unit 375, Mrs. Ruby Jones and Mrs. Lida Goodwin of Unit 1986, and Mrs. Juanita Gizara and Mrs. Carol Briggs of Unit 133. Recreation leader Mildred Leake and Unit 43 publicity chair Jean Thornton attended. About 400 people were served.
Members of Club Fidelitas German American plan a Saturday evening gathering at Masonic Hall 516 West Esther Street with the Williams Polka Band providing music. The German society hosts monthly dances and social events and will install new officers March 2 at Brower's. Young couples are especially welcomed into membership.
The Mothers Club of St Anthony's High School will meet on Wednesday at 1 30 p m in the Catholic Center for the scheduled gathering.
