Frankfurt war crimes verdicts fastened on Nazi police six
Six former Nazi police officers were sentenced in Frankfurt to prison terms from 2 to 18 years for aiding in the murder of about 30,000 Russian and Polish Jews during World War II. Five belonged to a police battalion that rounded up Jews in 1942 ghettos and led them to mass executions. Adolph Petsch received 15 years. The trial ran 14 months and may be West Germanys last large war crimes case.

A Washington bank filed suit in U S district court claiming Lyndon B Johnson willed $5,000 to his younger brother Sam Houston Johnson and that Lady Bird Johnson as executor should not distribute the money.
