CBS Chief Spared Extra Alimony in Connecticut
Connecticut Supreme Court rejected Nancy Woods appeal for a lump sum of assets from CBS President Robert D. Woods. The ruling upheld $2,440 monthly alimony, educational expenses for two children, and title to their Greenwich home valued around $123,000. The court said trial judges have wide discretion in alimony awards and that alimony reflects a continuing duty to support an abandoned spouse.
