Marysville residents lost hundreds of dollars when swindlers promised a radio and television charity show to benefit the Yuba Center Chapter of the Blind. Seeds Sent to Viet Nam Farmers by Retarded Children
In Olympia Washington Lilly Seed Co will ship half a ton of stable seeds to South Vietnam inside 100 sacks. The program, organized by Rainier State Schools, uses packets mixed with flowers to meet urgent farming needs. Sgt Albert Thierry, stationed in South Viet Nam, notes the seeds aid farmers as children sort seeds by hand and remove snow and debris from the city. The campaign is coordinated with Buckley Washington teachers and junior chambers to ensure timely dispatch via Seattle, with a shipping channel cleared for coin transport on February 16.
