Lockheed Accepts 200 Million Loss on C5A Pact
Lockheed Aircraft Corp agreed to take a 200 million loss on the C5A transport plane contract after a Defense Department letter indicated funds could not be provided for the program. Board chair Daniel J. Haughton said the move allows litigation to proceed with funds from other sources and covers three other programs including the Cheyenne helicopter and Navy ship construction.
