CAB plan to open low cost charter flights to all
The Civil Aeronautics Board on Thursday proposed rules to allow groups of 50 or more to charter aircraft at low fares, six month advance passenger lists required, bans on broad mass advertising, and restrictions to curb illicit charters. If finalized late winter, the plan could affect next summer's travel, with typical noncharter fares cited above. Major airlines oppose, fearing further traffic loss, as the program moves toward wider access.
