Bittersweet band draws big crowd at Long Beach club Big Jaws

New Year's party at Chuck Barnes's Big Jaws on South Street near Downey Avenue draws 800+ with Bittersweet in a five piece jazz rock set. Club redecorated with cedar wood, mirrors, and lighting creates a wide main floor, mezzanine, and billiard areas. Bittersweet plays loud yet clear and accessible rock with Steely Dan influences, led by Bruce Higham with Richard and Bob Manzanares, Bob Betonio, and Jeff Bryan. Admission is $5 for New Year's Eve. doors open 7 with music at 8:20 and disco dancing during intermission.
