Doyle Dixon of 160 Claremont Ava will have a rosary Monday at Mottell's and Peek Mortuary and a requiem mass at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Tuesday. He was a senior partner in Alamitos Circle Co and the first West Coast director for Massachusetts Investors Trust, noted in Pacific Coast financial circles in the 1930s and 40s. Surviving are his wife Flavia R, son Capt Harold F USAF, brother Walter N, and sister Mrs Lela Rogers.

In Albany New York the appellate division third department ruled unanimously for Margot McDonough a first grade teacher who contracted mumps in 1958 then encephalitis and nine months off work. The award of 1584 from the workers compensation board stood despite appeals by Whitney Point Central School District and American Mutual Liability Insurance Co. Justice J Clarence Herlihy noted the claimant was exposed to an unusual amount of germs during a specified period.
