Cost Council yields control of oil price to Energy Office
Washington AP reports the Cost of Living Council formally yielded petroleum price control authority to the new Federal Energy Office led by William E. Simon. The transfer, effective immediately, consolidates energy functions under one agency and keeps wage controls in the petroleum sector under the council.
