Boy Walks From Home Hit and Killed in Fort Worth
In Fort Worth seven year old Dewey Kempe walked from his home Christmas Eve amid a family dispute. A car driven by John Tonetti aged 19 struck him as he stepped into the street. Authorities said the death was accidental. Dewey had been staying with relatives during the holidays. His father William Kempe Sr aged 46 described the night as a drunken argument resolving before the tragedy. Dewey earlier lived with an aunt and uncle during the school year and his mother had died in infancy.
