UPI reports Marines at Berkeley plan a counter demonstration on campus next August. The motor pool crew, finishing their Vietnam tour, issued a letter to students condemning protests and warning they will return to stand for their country. Barn Standholds Old San Francisco Barn Preserves History
Edgar and Mary Castellini spend 40000 to repair a century old barn at 2042 Union St preserving its history rather than replacing it at 56000. The 20 by 30 foot structure has served as stable, carriage house, shop and office since 1906 earthquake relief. Storms and a neighbor sewer line caused it to shift, but the couple choose foundation repair to keep the original building.

High Court Refuses Miller Plea in Cal. Case
