Man Builds Plane in Living Room in Rockwood Tenn
Photographer Tom Roddy, a flying enthusiast, aims to complete a two seater plane in his living room using an aviation magazine plan. He rented a large house with a 20 by 40 foot front room as a workshop and has invested about $2,600 with $400 more expected, hoping the finished craft will rival factory models costing around $4,000. He notes two double doors allow rolling the plane minus wings. The story suggests a real plane project amid classifieds seeking items.
