FBI arrests sixth suspect in Alessio kidnapping case
Los Angeles FBI agents say LeRoy Thomas Gavigan, 26, father of four, was seized at his South Gate home as the sixth alleged member of the ring that abducted Anthony Alessio, a San Diego sportsman, last November. No further details were released. Gavigan is not reported to have any of the ransom money. The investigation has previously charged Robert Garman, Ruby Garman, Frank Marrone, Selma Marrone, and Richard Hoffmann, all connected to Los Angeles or Monterey Park.
