15 Perish in Fire at Hospital

Washington UPI The Defense Department set the national draft quota for January at 15 000 men, 1 000 fewer than called this youth. Voluntary enlistments rose by 20 percent since draft calls increased to meet the Berlin crisis. The January quota compares with 20 000 in October and November, 25 000 drafted in September, and an average of about 5 000 per month before the crisis.
