Phony physicist hid four years at weapons plant
Michael Almasi, a self described nuclear physicist, fooled Hoeing Aircraft Co officials for four years by claiming a doctor of nuclear physics from Ottawa University and work at CERN and Madame Curie Institute. He disappeared with his wife and children after telling his employer he falsified his credentials. The Army's new giant landing craft Lt. Col. John U. DD Page made its maiden voyage in San Francisco Bay before moving to East Coast tests. Boeing said Ottawa University never heard of him.
