Paramount plans Spirit of '76 Park opening in Paramou nt
Paramount to dedicate The Spirit of 76 Park at Gundry and Rosecrans avenues with a 10 a.m. Tuesday ceremony. Mayor De Bie, Bicentennial Committee leaders, and the Third Marine Aircraft Wing Band will perform. features include a 4.2 acre lake walk, fish stock, a 8 foot flag, Spanish style buildings, brickwork, sand lot fun, and a free family picnic. Funding includes HUD grant 318,509 and city funds 129,668 plus Valley Crest Landscaping contract for 31,151. Public invited to inspect park and enjoy activities.
