Gemini 6 May Beat Schedule by a Day
CAPE KENNEDY UPI program officials said Gemini 6 was 14 to 16 hours ahead of schedule at the Cape as electrical mating of the capsule to its Titan 2 booster was completed early. If kept up it could allow a two launch opportunity for Sunday with Gemini 7 adjusted to orbit earlier to align catches.

SPACE CENTER Houston UPI reports Gemini 6 pilot Walter Mo Schirra and co pilot Thomas P Stafford would earn hourly wages of 776.91 and 668.08 for about 47 hours in space, but they are not paid by the hour. Schirra, a Navy captain, earns 17878.56 annually with 245 monthly flight pay while Stafford, an Air Force Major, is at 13951.56 including 220 monthly flight pay. Each also gets about 16500 yearly from a magazine and encyclopedia firm buying their life stories.
