Four stores collapse in Villa Rica blast kills eight

An explosion thought caused by a faulty gas heater wrecked four shops in Villa Rica Georgia. At least eight people were killed and many trapped as firemen and National Guard squads cleared debris from Berry Pharmacy Reeves Jewelry Co Empire 10 Cent Store and County Clothing Co. Names of missing include O T Dyer and his son Johnny Berry's wife among the missing. Clarifying reports say about 20 patients were burned and treated locally while crews from Atlanta and nearby towns fought the blaze for more than an hour.
