Trustees vote pay raises for faculties

California State University trustees propose an 8.5 percent raise for all faculty and a 4.3 percent boost for higher rank academicians to offset last year’s 70 dollar across the board raise for state workers. They say the 70 dollar increase equaled a 4.3 percent loss for full professors, deans, and VPs, and a 6.6 percent gain for the lowest paid, while a vice president saw only 24 percent.
