Conservation could end nuclear plants, Nader testifies
Ralph Nader told a California Assembly committee that conserving energy and expanding solar and other non nuclear sources could eliminate the need for nuclear power. He argued big firms push for monopoly and warned critics spread half truths while Stanford’s Connolly called the initiative a hoax. He noted conservation and efficiency could cut consumption, create jobs, and allow higher living standards with less energy.
