Chrysler 1968 Line Preview In Chicago For News Media
More than 300 automotive writers attend a three day preview in Chicago to see Chrysler Corporation’s 1968 lineup. Nearly 100 new Plymouth, DeSoto, Chrysler, and Imperial cars and Dodge trucks are shown, with models arriving from Belvidere, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Newark. Executives including Lynn Townsend and Virgil E. Boyd attend, and a Dodge product presentation is led by Robert B. McCurry Jr. The 1968 Chrysler, Plymouth, and Imperial cars will be unveiled Thursday and test drives arranged, with a final news conference Friday. The preview is not open to the public. displays begin September 14 in dealer showrooms.
