Kin Support Bill Heads to Reagan for Refund
Sacramento report says a bill to refund 6.7 million dollars over 13 months advances to Governor Reagan. The measure forgives half the owed support from October 1, 1981 to December 31, 1981 for relatives responsible under the state’s support law. Assemblyman Dixon Arnett labeled it a form of leniency for those who paid late. The Reagan administration’s Finance Department opposed the bill, authored by Sen. Walcie Stern.
