Veteran Lundy From Crestview Near Bedridden Stays Strong
UPI reports Civil War veteran Ham A Lundy of Crestview Florida, 109, a member of the Conend era, remains bedbound yet able to pass passers by with help. His family says he did not see battle at the 109 year old veteran bastion and that the gall bladder infection during March worsened his condition. Surviving Confederates Walter Wilshams and John Salling are mentioned among those connected to his long life and fading strength.
