Long Beach State team builds a lean prototype car
Mechanical engineering students under Associate Professor Walter Edelman at Long Beach State University designed a “much-modified” prototype vehicle for Detroit’s Urban Vehicle Design Competition. The craft, fueled by propane, faced theft and vandalism during trials, but proved a learning experience amid design challenges and test sessions.
