Inventor Lee de Forest at 84 still chasing future in Hollywood
The 84 year old radio pioneer Lee de Forest remains physically active in Hollywood researching new ideas. He works in a downtown laboratory and at home, developing television related projects while proudly reflecting on past firsts such as wireless transmission in 1904 and sound on film in 1927. He recently filed for a new patent and aims to invent economical electricity from gas light using thermo selenium cells.
