Preschool tape lessons boost early reading in New Jersey
The New Jersey Department of Education ran a year long study showing 250 preschoolers aged 3 to 5 improved reading skills after listening to parent recorded lessons at home. Led by Gregory and Patricia Simms, with Dr. John Casey, the program used step by step letter recognition and active parent involvement, yielding strong early gains.
