Complainant's son testifies at surgeon's rape trial

A Long Beach attorney testified that when his mother said she had been raped he left the decision to report to police to her. He was the first to call the event a rape during Feb. 26 discussions. The trial of plastic surgeon Robert C. Kelleher continues as the mother testified and later was recalled.

Tot loses 40 day fight for life in Costa Mesa

Three year old Jason Rea of Capistrano Beach died in Costa Mesa after a 40 day struggle that included a Colorado transplant plan. He suffered brain injury in a Huntington Beach pool accident on July 14 and was flown for transplant tests before operations were halted. His mother Linda Rea, 29, hoped the donor operation might save others.
