Walsh Sisters Reunite With Bishop Walsh in Rome Visit
Bishop James E Walsh aged 79 from Cumberland Maryland was reunited today with two sisters who last saw him in 1943 before he went to China on a missionary voyage. The reunion followed his audience with Pope Paul VI in Rome after he was freed by the Chinese in July. The sisters Mary Walsh and Julia Winner traveled from Cumberland to Rome to visit Salvator Mundi Hospital where he will stay during his Rose visit. Also in Rome was Rev Francis X LeGrand who spent five years in a Chinese prison with him.

Bombers Hit New Vietnamese Threat Near DMZ
U S B 52s flew to within a mile of the DMZ to strike new North Vietnamese threats to an allied artillery base at Fire Base Fuller six miles west of the base. The base, held by Americans and South Vietnamese, had endured a 43 day siege last spring and suffered heavy shelling recently. Ground action in South Vietnam and Cambodia remained light with scattered skirmishes as raids targeted enemy supply lines and two Vietnamese divisions reportedly moved toward the border from Cambodia.
