SHUGENE I O NEILL a noted fish seller on Broadway in early 20th century theatre, died at 64 in Cambridge Massachusetts hospital. He worked with Keith's and Loew's vaudeville, and delivered Boston's first radio commercial on WHET. He left a wife, two daughters, three sons, a grandchild and a great grandchild. Buckley, a figure at the Republican National Convention scene, faced antiwar protests as he escorted by aides. A protester was assaulted amid tense crowd action. police intervened as Buckley and aides moved toward the convention hall.

First hornbill born in US captivity at San Diego Zoo
