Boy Tells of Ordeal Lost in Sierra
Peter Bayajas, 13, wandered from a Tahoe City area camp with 13-year-old David Donaldson. After five days with hunger and cold, he found a cache of food and a Beef stew site that helped him survive. Sheriff William A. Scott praised the rescue as luck and endurance, with a tearful reunion with his mother at Tahoe City.
