Amos Alonzo Stagg, football's grand old man, will collect his own life insurance on his 96th birthday Saturday. He becomes his own beneficiary of a policy taken out in 1892 at age 30. After leaving Chicago, he coached at College of the Pacific from 1933 to 1946.
