Leavenworth Youth Overcomes Cancer to Walk High Wire
Mike Ward of Leavenworth lost a leg to bone cancer five years ago yet takes to the high wire with the Wenatchee youth circus. He began after a summer operation left him temporarily unable to perform and has since regained use of his right leg. He started in trampoline two years ago, then moved to a low-wire act after a friend introduced him to circus life.
