Hughie at Huntington Hartford Critics Lose Patience
A harsh verdict on the two man play Hughie at Huntington Hartford. Critics fault Eugene ONeill and lead actor Ben Gazzara for a talky hour that feels longer than its running time. Peter Maroney shines when given the scene, while set and costume design are steady but the production as a whole drags with overlong monologue and weak direction.
