Lennox Couple Burned in Boat Fire at Los Angeles Harbor
James W. Slinger and his wife Pat were severely burned when their 27 foot cruiser Lady Pat burst into flames at a Los Angeles Harbor dock. Firemen extinguished the blaze as Slinger was trapped in the engine compartment by fumes that exploded during engine tinkering. The couple, residents of Lennox, were taken to Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Harbor City. Damage to the boat was estimated at 3,000.
