Jury Opens DMV Bribe Case Quiz
A Los Angeles county grand jury began a probe into claims that DMV investigators solicited and took bribes from auto dealers. The proceeding targets about 50 witnesses over two weeks, mostly Southern California dealers and DMV staff. Former assistant chief investigator Morris Genser was fired last May for bribery charges, while Northern California counterpart Lester Hinsbergern was dismissed after refusing to answer questions.
