Dow closes at 773 after intraday rally and profit taking
The Dow Jones industrial average rose over 25 points intraday on hopes for an impeachment resolution but faded to finish up 13.48 at 773.78. NYSE volume was heavy and breadth favored advances 1,046 to 438 as blue chips led gains and short covering supported prices. Xerox, Eastman Kodak, DuPont and Procter & Gamble posted notable gains amid bargain hunting.
