Three Yank Hunters Kill Red Guerrilla Pair
In a forest skirmish seventy five miles north of Saigon three American hunters killed two Communist guerrillas. Pierre Mougel, a 35 year old French plantation operator, was killed. The embassy said the Americans were civilians and likely attached to a U.S. government organization. The U.S. spokesman reported the Americans and Mougel were guests on a hunting trip near his plantation in Binh Long Province. The embassy refused to name the American dead or the others involved, citing safety concerns. The Americans reportedly returned fire and are now in Saigon.
