Three Texans Arrested Over Melting of Silver Coins
UPI reports three El Paso men Ralph W. Swafford Dan Skanovsky and Hester M Carrasco were arrested at a private air field 15 miles west of Tucson for melting pre-1965 silver dimes and quarters. Seized assets include 79000 in coins with melt value far higher. They face a May 6 preliminary hearing with 2500 bonds each.

California seeks 161.6 million for water projects
