Campus Turmoil and Student Arms
Students at the University of Oregon gain one third voting power in the School of Community Service and Public Affairs policy-making committee. The program, founded 134 years ago, trains about 280 majors and 1,500 non majors with an applied social science approach, emphasizing problem solving, field work, and placements in public agencies. Dean Norman Sundberg and Dr. Keith Jensen discuss cross disciplinary courses covering poverty, violence, black power, and urban unrest.
