In Pueblo Colorado a state patrolman David Chappell’s estranged wife Rosemary Chap Chappell killed herself after shooting their son David Jr aged 4 and daughter Deborah. The incident occurred amid a divorce proceeding with Patrolman Roy F Harper confirming a double murder claim. The brunette mother reportedly fired a bullet into her head after the family tragedy.
Seoul Korea report details a court martial fining Sgt Robert Weidensaul $120 for forcing a 14 year old thief into a crate and nailing it shut. Maj Thomas James relieved of command and fined $200. Capt Marvin Kerr assessed $1,200 and relieved of command. The boy was later placed in a U S supported orphanage following the incident at an aircraft maintenance center in Korea.
