The IRS granted President Nixon a normal 60 day extension to file his 1973 income tax return due to back taxes of about 467000 to 300000. White House said tax lawyers requested the extension amid IRS ruling on unpaid taxes for years 1966 to 1972. Nixon plans to present an arrangement to the IRS. deadline looms.
