A Pony Express reenactment from Missouri to California ended in a comedy of errors as three riders four mail pouches and a horse arrived by truck in Sacramento after starting April 3 from St Joseph. California horsemen canceled to favor a USPS July Sacramento to St Joseph run. Jack Nolan Bill Power George Launder and a tied sorrel horse pulled to within three blocks of city hall before delivering a letter to Governor Edmund G Brown from Missouri Governor James Blair.
