Antiwar group forms 24 hour U S troop buildup network
In Cambridge a small antiwar coalition launched an Ad Hoc Committee on Military Buildup to track U S forces moving toward Indochina. Using contacts at coffee houses and antimilitary groups, they report ship, troop and aircraft movements from Florida Virginia California Hawaii to the Philippines and Japan, with a running phone bill over 8000 dollars a week.
