RCA Ordered to Pay Taxes in Back-Dates Case
The Internal Revenue Service ordered RCA Corp to pay 133,181 in back taxes in a tax court dispute over a nuclear reactor donated eight years earlier to Rutgers. Ten partners allegedly inflated the reactor's value from 3.5 million to 763,000, potentially triggering a 1.3 million overall deficiency for the group.

Mazda again in low EPA rating
The EPA reported new tests show rotary engine Mazda cars use about 50 percent more fuel than similarly weighted conventional vehicles for both city and highway driving. Last fall’s figures placed Mazdas at the bottom in fuel economy. the newer tests show highway and city mpg near 17 to 21 depending on driving mix. Brown of Mazda called the results generally satisfactory and noted owners can expect roughly 17–21 mpg in normal use.
