Experts Disagree On Whale Gigi Identity After Viewing Slides
Naval Undersea Center zoologist William C. Evans concluded the captured female gray whale shown in color slides and film was not Gigi. The Palos Verdes sighting near Long Beach, involving a whale that entertained 173 children aboard the Lei Beach-based watch boat, remained inconclusive.
