German child adopted by Fisher Taylor sparks custody flap
A 15 month old German girl, adopted by Eddie Fisher and Elizabeth Taylor, was reportedly taken from a Munich orphanage in January and given to the stars. German officials would not confirm the adoption or say what will happen next, leaving the fate of Maria to the divorce court. Adoptions laws and lack of publicity protections complicate potential custody, with concerns over the child’s hip dislocation and care needs.
