Vaccine For Rubella Due In Montit
Washington (UP) A vaccine may be available as early as next month against German measles also known as rubella that can cause abnormal births. HEW Secretary Robert H. Finch proposed regulations setting production standards. Thirty days after Federal Register publication the regulations will become final and licensing could follow immediately.

USC medical school reports a 21 of 31 success rate over 10 months for a procedure to treat myocardial infarction. The operation, done in 15 minutes after chest opening, stops the clot area with stitches through surgical felt, allowing the heart to beat normally and spare most patients from transplant. Half of survivors returned to work in four to six months.
