Hussein in L A With How Jordan Will Resist Reds

Jordan's King Hussein II arrived in Los Angeles with a vow to fight communist encroachment in the Middle East and to avoid alliance with communism. He condemned Iraq as potentially communist and criticized the Arab League meeting. He will tour aircraft and missile facilities and address the World Affairs Council at the Biltmore Hotel.

Frogmen Set Underwater Endurance Record

Four Navy frogmen in Norfolk aim to stay submerged for 48 hours after beating the 41 hour under water endurance record. They began at 12:08 p.m. Wednesday and reached 5:07 a.m. today in an indoor heated pool.
