Prescott School Tax Debate Draws Strong Opinion

A large meeting considered levying tax for adding to the Prescott public school building. After pro and con remarks, the vote passed by a good majority, with supporters arguing the graded system advantages and broader access, while opponents deride the tax as a burden on the poor. The piece notes improvements to Orange Street hill and street repairs, plus Charley Barnes’s return from New York.
